Dr. Appointment and Adjustment

Grey had his first doctor's appointment today. When we left the hospital, he had dropped down to 7lb. 7oz. (which is completely normal), but today at his doctor's appointment (5 days old) he was already back to his birth weight! The kid loves to eat, just like his big brother. Here are his stats for today...
5 days old
Weight- 7lbs. 14.5oz. (25-50%)
Length- 22in. (97%)
FOC- 14in. (25-50%)

We are still going through an adjustment period with Colby. He loves his little brother, but is definitely acting out more. He has been even MORE active than his normal self... climbing, jumping, hitting, throwing. I know he is just looking for more attention and it will take time to adjust for him. I am hoping that will be sooner rather than later. I feel very blessed to be the mother of two precious boys!

Cason "Grey" Taylor

We are so excited to announce the birth of our second son, Cason "Grey" Taylor.
Born on July 15, 2010 at 10:57 AM
Weight 7lb. 14 oz.
Length 21 1/4 in.

I had an amazingly easy labor and delivery. I went into the hospital at 6 that morning, and at 10:57AM our little guy was born. He looks just like his big brother as a baby, but has dark hair. We are home and adjusting well to having 2 BOYS! Big brother, Colby, loves to give kisses to Grey. Here are a few pics from the hospital...

Baby Brother's Room...

Now we just need a baby! There are still a few things that we haven't put up because they reveal the name, but for the most part the nursery is complete!

And of course... the BIG BROTHER eating his applesauce:)

Happy 18 Months!

Colby is 18 months old today! I can't believe how fast this past year and a half has gone by. My little baby is now a VERY active toddler:( We went to the doctor today for his check-up, so here are the stats...
Weight- 24lb 10oz (25-50%)
Height- 34in (90%)
Head- 18.5in (25%)
He got lucky and did not have to get his shot today. The doctor said when I bring the new baby to his 1 week appointment (hopefully next week), Colby will get his shot then. Here are some of the things Colby is doing at 18 months...
-Climbs on EVERYTHING!
-Loves to say no- Including telling Coco, "no, no puppy."
-Loves to dance... if there is music on, Colby is dancing!
-Loves to eat, but unfortunately only the unhealthy stuff.
-Loves to read. He gets a book, then comes to where I am sitting and says, "up please." We read the same books over and over.
-When you say, "show me your swing," Colby will pretend to swing a baseball bat. I wonder who taught him that?
-Tries to repeat everything I say.
-Loves to throw balls. He is pretty good at throwing the football too... maybe a quarterback?
-Absolutely loves to swim. Goes underwater and does not get scared at all.
-Has moved to one nap a day. Goes down around 1- 1:30 after lunch. Usually sleeps about 2 hours.
-Sleeps from about 7:30- 8:00PM to about 7:30- 8:00 AM.
I am sure I could continue forever, but I am going to stop now. Right now we are just waiting for little brother's arrival. Colby has his "big brother" shirt ready! I am 3 cm dilated, and the doctor thinks it could be any day now. If he has not made his entrance in 9 days... we are going to coax him out.

This kid is a fish!

Pretty much every weekend, we go to my parent's house to swim. Colby LOVES the water. He really has no fear. Here is a video of Chase and Colby playing in the pool... you can also hear him say his new phrase... "more please!" Sorry it is sideways... I took it from my phone and can't figure out how to turn it.

Dancing, Climbing, and some Cheese!

Colby LOVES to dance. Anytime he hears music, he starts to dance!

He claps as he dances.

And he loves people to watch him dance!

A not so favorite skill (for me) that he has is climbing...

And he climbs on EVERYTHING!

And when you tell him no... he seems to want to do it more.

He gets this smile on his face...

"Looks" so innocent. :)

And he still has his "cheese" smile!

Doesn't he look so grown up? I can't believe he will be a big brother in less than 3 weeks!

My Baby Boy is 17 Months Old!

I can't even believe Colby is already 17 months old. He is so much fun now and has quite the personality. He LOVES attention, and will say "hi" to everyone when we are out in public. He loves to dance and look at himself in the mirror. He also still enjoys eating... he seriously eats like a 5 year old! We are preparing him for his baby brother arriving next month. He will kiss my belly and say "baby," but I am not quite sure he really gets that there will soon be another baby in the house. Here are a few pictures of him lately... I have been pretty lazy about taking pictures, so I don't have many.

Look at that handsome face!

He looks like he is up to no good:)

"Cool" dude!

He loves to sit on the couches now. And notice how he is holding the remote. It goes "missing" and we literally have to tear the house apart looking for it.

He has gotten pretty good about climbing down too.
And then he is off to something else... SO MUCH ENERGY!
