Now, that Colby is becoming quite verbal, he has me laughing hysterically every single day! He has such a BIG personality, I really don't know where he gets it ;) I wanted to write some things down, so I won't ever forget them.
-He loves the "Happy Birthday" song. He sings it randomly throughout the day. The other night, I put Colby to bed and a few minutes later, I hear him singing, "Happy Birthday to you."
- He loves to point out when Chase or I have finished our food. He will see we are done eating, and say "Mommy ate it all" or "Daddy ate it all."
-He has a counting book that he likes to read. It says 9 cups. He says "7, 8, 9 cups."
- If he wants to hold something, he always says "hold it." The other day he wanted to hold Grey, so he pointed to Grey and said "Hold it, brother!"
-If Grey is crying, Colby will say "Oh, baby, it's okay," while he pats his back.
-If he wants you to tickle him, he will hold up his shirt and tell YOU, "I'll get you!"
-When Chase leaves to go coach or do a lesson, Colby will say, "Daddy coach baseball."
-If he wants to leave, he says, "Go bye-bye, store?" As if that is the only reason we leave the house for:)
-If I tell him we need to clean up his toys, he starts to sing "Clean up, everybody, Clean up!"
-He can name pretty much all the characters on Thomas. He tells ME the names of the trains.
-When I tell him that I love him, he says "to the moon and back!" (My favorite expression by far:)
-He puts his stuffed monkey in time out. He will put him in the spot where he has his time outs, tell the monkey, "sit, time out!" Then when he comes back to get the monkey, he will tell him to "listen" then says "sorry" and give him a kiss.
- If he burps, he laughs then says, "excuse me."
- He thinks it is hilarious when Grey farts, and says "Grey farted, smelly- smelly!" plugging his nose.
- He likes to says hi and bye to everything, including things that are not living. Chase took him to the grocery store the other day and as they were leaving the condiment
aisle, he says "bye-bye ketchup." In the car, he
often says, "hi truck," "hi school bus," "bye-bye tractor."
I could go on and on, but I will stop. We are so glad to have such entertainment in our lives!
